Blossom Therapy Services

Shawna L. Tyree, M.S. BCBA

Owner

Shawna grew up in wild and wonderful West Virginia, where her passion for helping children and families first began. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Virginia University and went on to receive her Master of Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Early in her career, Shawna discovered the value and effectiveness of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), inspiring her to pursue certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She spent several years working as an ABA Coordinator at a charter school in Washington, D.C., where she developed a strong appreciation for collaboration among families, educators, therapists, and other members of a child’s team.

Blossom Therapy Services was originally founded in Washington, D.C., but as Shawna’s passion for ABA grew, so did her vision for Blossom. Recognizing a need for high-quality ABA services for children and families in her home state, she brought Blossom back home to West Virginia. Her goal is to provide compassionate, individualized services while creating a supportive environment where children, families, and clinicians can grow together.

Outside of Blossom, Shawna loves spending time with her husband, Charlie, and their daughter, Harper.
